The final showcase with performances from Shakers! over the years

About this event
As we ‘explode’ and go away, we are leaving behind a beautiful, colourful nebula of hope.
Join us in London to celebrate Shake!’s history and legacy, and enjoy a beautiful, powerful selection of performances from people who have been involved with Shake! during our 15 year history. These performances include dance, spoken word, music, poetry and more.
We will have an exhibition open from 12-6pm, with photos, posters and artwork from Shake!’s history from previous events over our 15 year history. Performances will take place from 6-9pm, followed by some time to dance, talk, mingle. Please note, tickets are not required to join the exhibition. Tickets are only needed for the evening performances.
This includes performances with music, dance, and more from Rotimi; Jerri Yambuya; Zoe Daniels; Blue and Cash Webster; Alex Augustin; Akeim Toussaint Buck; Annie Rockson; Idriss Kamtcheu; Tania Aubeelack.
6.00pm – 6.40pm – Welcome and short film about Shake!’s legacy
7pm – Performances
8.30pm – Final thank you and close
9-10pm – DJ set and mingling
Other information:
- The exhibition will be a child-friendly space; our evening performances will feature themes around state violence, mental health, etc. and are not recommended for young children
- Free food, including vegan food, will be provided during the performances
- Rich Mix is a wheelchair accessible space
- There will be photography taken during the event of the performances and audience. This will be used in social media, our archives and a funding report.
